Tory Marks is a second year Biomedical Engineering and Physiology student in the Mayo Graduate School. She grew up all over the United States and graduated with a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami in 2017. She is working with Dr. Greg Worrell, studying memory, mood, and cognition in epilepsy patients. On the weekends, you’ll find her reading, baking cupcakes, or ice skating at the Rec Center.[email protected]

Evan Nicolai is a first year Biomedical Engineering and Physiology student in the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Health Sciences. He graduated with a BS in Health Sciences at University of Minnesota Rochester. In his free time, he loves being outside, including hunting and fishing.

Sydney Gorman is a second year Biomedical Engineering and Physiology student in the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Health Sciences working on applications of deep brain stimulation on psychiatric conditions. She graduated with a biomedical engineering degree from Purdue University in 2017. All of her free time is currently occupied by her new corgi puppy named Carl. Carl is an official member of BMES.

Alyssa Brown is a first year student, originally from Tennessee, who spent her last three years in medical school at University of Louisville School of Medicine and previously got a B.S. in Biology at Centre College. She is working with Dr. Gary Sieck and Dr. Carlos Mantilla. Current projects in diaphragm and neuronal control of the diaphragm. Eventually, she wants to be a pediatric surgeon and researcher. She enjoys playing golf and baking.
